Gifted and Talented Program

Dunn Elementary supports all learners. Dunn’s GT Program supports students in grades three through five identified as gifted in math or language arts. They receive targeted, twice-weekly instruction through the lens of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). This approach emphasizes inquiry, action, and reflection, empowering students to take ownership of their learning. Enrichment opportunities integrate service and action projects through collaborative, service lessons provided by Project Heart and OtterCares. These lessons are designed to incorporate Colorado State Standards in reading, writing, speaking, problem solving, and mathematics. Through the IB lens of action and inquiry, students maximize their potential by developing student agency—the ability to make choices, take initiative, reflect, and act with purpose.

Average # of Gifted Students: 40

Total enrollment: 365
